Translate duties into plain factual language

Explain what you actually did, which systems you used and what authority you held. Define necessary technical terms without turning the personal narrative into a technical report. A reviewer should be able to follow the chronology and locate the supporting source. Counsel reviews how the account relates to established facts and admissions.

Organize the financial picture carefully

Separate asset units, account access, ownership interests, liabilities and valuation dates. Identify restrictions and uncertain figures for counsel and qualified reviewers. Do not omit an asset because it is difficult to value or inaccessible. The official disclosure requirements and legal treatment must be addressed by the appropriate professionals.

Verify the broader personal history

Prepare accurate employment, education, family and treatment information with supporting records. Character support should describe firsthand knowledge. Keep dates consistent across the biography, professional timeline and financial file. SAG can help organize this material and identify factual gaps before counsel’s review.

Prepare for probation’s process

Confirm interview arrangements and review priorities with counsel. Probation prepares the official presentence report; SAG does not control it. The preparation assignment can include source organization, interview readiness and practical planning. No technical credential or publication guarantees how probation or the court will assess an individual.

Continue your preparation

Should the personal narrative replace a technical expert report?

No. They serve different purposes. Use plain factual explanations and source references, with technical opinions reserved for qualified specialists.

Sources and a defined preparation assignment
