Identify what actually happened

Preserve the notice, subpoena or communication with its attachments, date and stated deadline. A platform restriction, agency inquiry and criminal charge are different events. Do not infer your legal status from a news report or account alert. Qualified federal defense counsel should assess the actual contact and direct responses.

Map platforms and record custodians

List the exchanges, custodians, business systems and communication platforms relevant to your work. Identify periods of use and who can lawfully obtain records. Keep credentials, private keys and seed phrases out of a working inventory shared with a preparation consultant. Counsel should direct preservation and any specialized collection.

Separate technical records from personal knowledge

A public transaction record may show an event without establishing who controlled an address or what someone knew. Preserve the technical source and describe the basis for any personal account. Mark uncertain attribution and missing context for qualified review rather than turning a label into an established fact.

Define the next preparation product

SAG can organize your professional chronology, actual responsibilities, source index and practical deadlines. Agree with counsel on scope and authorized recipients before exchanging records. Technical tracing, legal responses and privilege decisions belong with qualified professionals. The preparation file should make questions clear without deciding the investigation’s outcome.

Should I provide wallet credentials to SAG?

No. Start with your role, stage and deadline. Counsel and qualified specialists should direct any authorized handling of technical evidence.

Sources and a defined preparation assignment

Official context: Department of Justice: Justice 101. Sources checked November 6, 2026. Tax recordkeeping guidance does not determine criminal liability or sentencing loss. Counsel evaluates the applicable law, dates and individual facts.

Work directly with Joseph to define the scope, authorized recipients and review dates. Agreed deliverables can include a personal and professional chronology, indexed supporting records, factual questions for counsel and a practical preparation schedule. SAG does not manage legal responses or provide forensic tracing or valuation opinions. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.

SAG serves clients nationwide from New Jersey, with travel arranged for cases. SAG is not a law firm. No charging decision, sentence, placement or release date is guaranteed.
