Separate event and documentation dates

Record when the event occurred, when damage was observed and when each photograph or report was created. Identify uncertainty explicitly. A later inspection may describe conditions at that time without proving every detail of the earlier event.

Keep estimates and repair records distinct

Preserve estimates, contracts, invoices, work records and payments with their sources. A proposed repair and completed work are different events. Qualified professionals evaluate damage and valuation. SAG does not provide engineering, adjusting or coverage opinions.

Track multiple sources of payment

Where the records involve different insurers or assistance programs, maintain separate schedules and identify relationships for counsel. Do not assume that payments are interchangeable or that one program’s rules determine another’s treatment.

Connect the file to actual duties

Identify who obtained estimates, supplied information, approved work and submitted claims. Preserve supporting communications. SAG can organize the chronology and questions for counsel without deciding whether a claim was valid or a crime occurred.

Continue your preparation

Can a later repair estimate establish every earlier fact?

No automatic conclusion follows. Preserve its date, purpose and sources for qualified review.

Sources and professional scope

Official background: FBI: Investigating Insurance Fraud and NAIC: Insurance Fraud. Sources checked November 6, 2026. These sources provide general context; counsel evaluates the actual jurisdiction, charge and applicable law. No historical statistics are used to predict an individual outcome.

A defined SAG assignment can include a personal chronology, indexed records, factual questions and preparation calendar. Counsel controls legal advice, responses and submissions. SAG is not a law firm, insurance adjuster, valuation provider or forensic accounting service. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.

Based in New Jersey, SAG serves clients nationwide, with travel arranged for cases. No sentence, placement, release date or financial result is guaranteed.
