Identify confirmed dates and responsibilities

Maintain a calendar of dates confirmed by counsel and assign ordinary household tasks. Keep hearings, interviews and other obligations distinct from estimates. A shared practical calendar can reduce confusion without distributing sensitive legal advice or treating an unconfirmed date as final.

Prepare an accurate household picture

Organize recurring expenses, caregiving duties, employment schedules and access to essential records. If accounts or assets are restricted, preserve the actual documentation and direct questions to counsel. Do not move assets or make financial commitments based on assumptions about a court order.

Keep support factual and personal

Family members can describe firsthand experiences and practical needs where appropriate. They should not repeat unverified allegations or coordinate accounts of events. Counsel determines how any support material may be used. SAG can help organize a clear record of responsibilities without turning family support into legal argument.

Separate plans from confirmed arrangements

Employment, treatment, housing and caregiving plans should identify what is established and what remains proposed. Preserve contacts and supporting records within the agreed scope. SAG can assist practical preparation nationwide, but cannot guarantee a sentence, placement or release date.

Continue your preparation

Should family members receive every legal document?

Counsel should determine appropriate sharing. Practical coordination can begin with confirmed dates and responsibilities without circulating sensitive advice.

Sources and a defined preparation assignment

Official context: U.S. Courts: Presentence Investigations. Sources checked November 6, 2026. Counsel evaluates the law and the manual applicable to the individual facts and dates. These preparation steps do not determine criminal liability or a sentencing calculation.

An assignment may include a personal and professional chronology, source index, factual review questions and practical preparation calendar. SAG is not a law firm or forensic accounting provider. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.
