Start with scope and recipients

Keep the complete request and identify its recipient, date and stated deadline. Counsel determines the legal response, objections, privilege issues and what must be produced. A company request and an individual request may raise different questions. Do not decide scope from a checklist on a website or assume that every file related to the business should be sent.

Map records by system and period

List application portals, lender communications, accounting platforms, payroll systems and bank records. Note the periods covered and the custodian for each source. If a system changed during the relevant years, record that transition. An incomplete export should be labeled as incomplete, with missing dates or fields identified, rather than presented as the full history.

Preserve versions and collection details

For collection authorized by counsel, retain the original file and record who obtained it, when, from which system and using which filters. Keep working summaries separate. Do not delete duplicates without an approved process, since different versions may have different attachments or dates. Questions about technical collection should go to qualified professionals.

Separate production from personal chronology

The subpoena response and the individual preparation record are related but distinct assignments. SAG may help map the person’s duties, employment and practical needs while counsel directs production. Agree on a review schedule and who receives each output. This prevents a personal-history exercise from becoming an uncontrolled exchange of sensitive business materials.

Does SAG decide what to produce?

No. Counsel directs the legal response. SAG can provide a separately defined chronology and preparation assignment.

Sources and a defined preparation assignment

Official context: Department of Justice: Justice 101. Sources checked November 6, 2026. Program resources and historical oversight reports do not decide an individual case. Counsel evaluates the applicable law, dates and facts.

Work directly with Joseph to define the scope, authorized recipients and review dates. Agreed deliverables can include a personal and professional chronology, indexed supporting records, factual questions for counsel and a practical preparation schedule. SAG does not manage legal responses or provide forensic accounting. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.

SAG serves clients nationwide from New Jersey, with travel arranged for cases. SAG is not a law firm. No charging decision, sentence, placement or release date is guaranteed.
