Identify the asset precisely

Record the asset name, network and contract identifier where relevant and available in the source. Similar symbols can create ambiguity. Do not assume that a ticker alone identifies the exact asset or that a displayed label establishes ownership. Qualified technical reviewers should resolve uncertain identifiers.

Preserve the transaction sequence

Keep deposits, transfers, conversions and redemptions separately identified. Record dates, units, source references and fees where shown. A transfer between accounts may not be a final expenditure. Avoid counting repeated movements of the same funds as separate economic losses without professional analysis.

Do not hide valuation assumptions

A name suggesting a stable value does not replace the actual source record or establish the correct legal valuation. Identify the price or conversion rate used, date and purpose of the calculation. Preserve restrictions or discrepancies that the records show and refer valuation questions to qualified reviewers.

Connect the technical history to actual duties

Identify who authorized or performed actions only where the evidence supports that account. SAG can organize the person’s chronology and review questions while technical specialists interpret the records and counsel evaluates legal significance. Do not include private keys or credentials in preparation materials.

Continue your preparation

Does an asset’s name eliminate the need for valuation records?

No. Keep the actual units, dates, conversion sources and assumptions available for qualified review.
