Identify the transaction under review
Bank-related matters may involve different loans, accounts and representations. Begin with the actual request or allegation rather than assuming every transaction is part of the same issue. Record the lender, entity, relevant dates and documents. Qualified counsel determines the legal questions and response; SAG’s preparation work should have a defined factual scope.
Preserve the lending history
Organize applications, supporting statements, amendments, correspondence and approvals by version and date. Distinguish what was requested from what was approved and disbursed. Identify who supplied information and who reviewed or certified it. Do not use a later financial statement as if it were the document available at the time of the original decision.
Map authority and access
Document signatory authority, actual account activity and changes in responsibilities. Access to a system does not establish every action taken in it. Conversely, formal titles may not capture informal decisions. Preserve source records and identify factual questions for counsel. Technical and financial analysis may require qualified specialists beyond the personal-preparation assignment.
Prepare for the next stage without predicting it
A useful file can include a personal and professional chronology, source index, unresolved questions and practical deadlines. If the matter progresses, counsel can identify what additional preparation is appropriate. SAG works nationally with individuals, families and defense counsel, with travel arranged for cases and no guarantee of a particular legal outcome.

Are all bank fraud matters PPP cases?
No. Identify the actual transaction and documents. Use the PPP and EIDL guides only when those programs are relevant.
Sources and a defined preparation assignment
Official context: Department of Justice: Justice 101. Sources checked November 6, 2026. Program resources and historical oversight reports do not decide an individual case. Counsel evaluates the applicable law, dates and facts.
Work directly with Joseph to define the scope, authorized recipients and review dates. Agreed deliverables can include a personal and professional chronology, indexed supporting records, factual questions for counsel and a practical preparation schedule. SAG does not manage legal responses or provide forensic accounting. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.
SAG serves clients nationwide from New Jersey, with travel arranged for cases. SAG is not a law firm. No charging decision, sentence, placement or release date is guaranteed.
For defense counsel: Discuss Support for Your Client. Share your role, stage and next deadline, not sensitive financial records or privileged advice, in the initial inquiry.
