Preserve the actual legal documents
Keep notices, orders, inventories and counsel’s correspondence with dates and attachments. Record the assets identified and the source of each description. Counsel determines legal rights, deadlines and responses. A general preparation guide cannot establish what a particular order permits or requires.
Distinguish each asset event
A restraint, transfer of custody, liquidation and distribution may occur at different times. Keep them as separate entries and identify supporting records. Do not describe a seized asset as already returned to a claimant unless the evidence shows that distribution. Qualified reviewers should address technical attribution and financial calculations.
Keep units and values separate
Record asset units, valuation dates and reported dollar figures with their sources. Market movement can make figures from different dates difficult to compare. Counsel evaluates the relevant legal treatment; a working index should preserve assumptions rather than silently normalize every figure to one preferred date.
Coordinate practical preparation
Restricted assets may affect household expenses and other obligations. Document current resources and confirmed restrictions accurately. SAG can organize the personal financial picture and practical questions for counsel. It does not take custody of digital assets, direct transfers or determine forfeiture and restitution outcomes.

Can SAG take control of assets to assist the case?
No. SAG’s role is preparation and record organization. Counsel and authorized qualified professionals handle legal and technical asset questions.
Sources and a defined preparation assignment
Official context: Department of Justice: Asset Forfeiture Policy Manual (2025). Sources checked November 6, 2026. Tax recordkeeping guidance does not determine criminal liability or sentencing loss. Counsel evaluates the applicable law, dates and individual facts.
Work directly with Joseph to define the scope, authorized recipients and review dates. Agreed deliverables can include a personal and professional chronology, indexed supporting records, factual questions for counsel and a practical preparation schedule. SAG does not manage legal responses or provide forensic tracing or valuation opinions. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.
SAG serves clients nationwide from New Jersey, with travel arranged for cases. SAG is not a law firm. No charging decision, sentence, placement or release date is guaranteed.
