Identify the original format and source

Record whether an item is an original file, screenshot, export or forwarded copy. Preserve what is lawfully available under counsel’s instructions. Different formats may retain different context. Do not describe a cropped image as the complete source when the original is unavailable.

Keep dates and interpretations separate

The date displayed in a post may differ from when an image was created or an event occurred. Record what the source actually states. Technical specialists may need to evaluate metadata or authenticity. SAG can organize the source index without certifying those conclusions.

Preserve surrounding context

Messages, captions, attachments and sequence can matter. Identify gaps and the limits of your knowledge. Counsel should direct collection and handling. Do not delete, alter or selectively reconstruct relevant material to make it fit a preferred narrative.

Connect records to factual questions

For each important item, identify the question it may help answer and what remains uncertain. A preparation chronology should not treat a public post as conclusive proof of every alleged fact. Counsel and qualified reviewers evaluate significance in the actual matter.

Can SAG authenticate image metadata?

No. SAG organizes records and questions; qualified technical professionals evaluate authenticity and metadata.

Sources and professional scope

Official background: FBI: Investigating Insurance Fraud and NAIC: Insurance Fraud. Sources checked November 6, 2026. These sources provide general context; counsel evaluates the actual jurisdiction, charge and applicable law. No historical statistics are used to predict an individual outcome.

A defined SAG assignment can include a personal chronology, indexed records, factual questions and preparation calendar. Counsel controls legal advice, responses and submissions. SAG is not a law firm, insurance adjuster, valuation provider or forensic accounting service. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.

Based in New Jersey, SAG serves clients nationwide, with travel arranged for cases. No sentence, placement, release date or financial result is guaranteed.
