Identify the number being discussed

Keep the proposed amount, calculation and supporting records together. Record whether it describes transactions, proceeds, loss, forfeiture or restitution. Different measures can answer different legal questions. Counsel and qualified financial reviewers must assess the applicable treatment rather than treating a public headline as the calculation.

Separate organizational scale from personal activity

Document the person’s actual responsibilities, actions and knowledge over time. Preserve the source for each important statement. A large enterprise-wide total does not explain the individual chronology, and personal compensation is not automatically the controlling legal amount. Keep both factual and legal questions clear.

Build the broader record with the same discipline

Verify professional history, personal circumstances, treatment, character support and corrective work where appropriate. Distinguish completed work from plans. The personal account should remain consistent with established facts and counsel’s review. Financial complexity should not eliminate the record of the person, but neither should it be replaced by general appeals.

Use a realistic preparation calendar

Allow time for missing records, specialist review and counsel’s assessment before confirmed deadlines. Assign responsibility for each unresolved question. SAG can coordinate the agreed personal-preparation products while counsel controls legal arguments and submissions. No volume of material or professional publication guarantees an outcome.

Can a strong personal history guarantee a lower sentence?

No. It can be part of a verified preparation record, but outcomes depend on the law, facts and decisions of the responsible institutions.

Sources and a defined preparation assignment

Official context: U.S. Sentencing Commission: 2026 Guidelines Manual. Sources checked November 6, 2026. Counsel evaluates the law and the manual applicable to the individual facts and dates. These preparation steps do not determine criminal liability or a sentencing calculation.

Work directly with Joseph to define deliverables, authorized recipients and review dates. An assignment may include a personal and professional chronology, source index, factual review questions and practical preparation calendar. SAG is not a law firm or forensic accounting provider. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.
