Identify the precise allegation
Keep the charging document or relevant filing and identify the counts and periods that counsel says matter. Section 1956(h) addresses conspiracy to commit offenses under sections 1956 or 1957. Counsel must evaluate the actual charge and applicable law. A preparation summary should not treat different charged theories as interchangeable.
Separate the group chronology from your own
Maintain a timeline of relevant organizational events and a distinct account of your actions and knowledge. Identify the source for each. Being aware of an event later is different from participating in it at the time. Do not adopt allegations about another person as verified facts about yourself.
Preserve communications in context
Keep dates, participants, attachments and the surrounding conversation available within counsel’s collection instructions. A short excerpt may omit an important qualification. Record what is missing rather than reconstructing unavailable messages. Counsel determines which communications matter and how they should be handled.
Plan individual preparation alongside counsel
SAG can organize background, responsibilities and the practical preparation schedule. Counsel controls legal positions and submissions. Any statement about accountability must fit the actual stage and established facts; it should not assume admissions that have not been made or promise a particular charging or sentencing outcome.

Can a general company timeline substitute for my individual account?
No. It may provide context, but counsel needs an accurate record of your own actions and knowledge.
Sources and a defined preparation assignment
Official context: U.S. Code: 18 U.S.C. § 1956. Sources checked November 6, 2026. Counsel evaluates the law and the manual applicable to the individual facts and dates. These preparation steps do not determine criminal liability or a sentencing calculation.
Work directly with Joseph to define deliverables, authorized recipients and review dates. An assignment may include a personal and professional chronology, source index, factual review questions and practical preparation calendar. SAG is not a law firm or forensic accounting provider.
