Start with the specific matter

Identify the actual contact, subpoena or charging document and preserve it with its date and attachments. Do not assume that an email mentioning fraud establishes what conduct is under investigation or your status. Qualified federal defense counsel should assess the contact and direct any response. Your first preparation product is a factual intake summary with clear sources and unanswered questions.

Connect communications to transactions

Create a chronology that shows relevant representations, decisions, transfers and business events without treating them as interchangeable. An email date may differ from the date funds moved or a service was performed. Preserve those distinctions. A useful working index points to the original communication and transaction record so counsel can examine context rather than rely on a paraphrase.

Map the person’s actual role

Identify your duties, authority, system access and knowledge during each period. Record changes in employment, ownership or responsibilities. Separate what you personally did from what you learned about other people later. An organizational description should not replace a candid individual account, and a job title alone should not be used to resolve questions of responsibility.

Define the preparation assignment

SAG can organize personal and professional history, supporting sources, practical deadlines and questions for counsel. The legal team controls investigative responses, legal positions and submissions. Where financial tracing or technical collection is needed, qualified specialists should handle that work. A clear division of responsibility prevents a personal-history assignment from becoming an uncontrolled production of business records.

Does SAG direct responses to investigators?

No. Retain qualified counsel for investigative and legal decisions. SAG provides a defined preparation assignment alongside counsel.

Sources and a defined preparation assignment

Official context: Department of Justice: Justice 101. Sources checked November 6, 2026. Counsel evaluates the applicable law, dates and individual facts.

Work directly with Joseph to define the scope, authorized recipients and review dates. Agreed deliverables can include a personal and professional chronology, indexed supporting records, factual questions for counsel and a practical preparation schedule. SAG does not manage legal responses or provide forensic accounting. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.

SAG serves clients nationwide from New Jersey, with travel arranged for cases. SAG is not a law firm. No charging decision, sentence, placement or release date is guaranteed.
