Identify completed actions

Record what the person actually completed, when and with whom. Keep supporting records and identify their source. Training attendance, a new policy and sustained personal conduct are different forms of evidence and should be described accurately.

Separate personal and corporate changes

An organization’s announcement does not itself establish an individual’s understanding or behavior. Identify personal responsibilities and observable actions. Counsel determines relevance to the established facts and current procedural stage.

Keep accountability precise

Do not imply admissions beyond the actual record or use vague language to obscure established facts. Counsel should review how the account addresses responsibility. SAG can organize the factual support and identify unsupported claims for revision.

Describe future steps honestly

A plan should specify practical actions and what remains unconfirmed. Do not present intentions as accomplishments. The preparation record should remain current as work progresses without promising a particular assessment by probation or the court.
