Identify the complete source
Record the system, period, entity and extraction date. Keep original exports and relevant source documents. A filtered report may omit reversals, prior periods or supporting detail; state its limits clearly.
Preserve changes and reconciliations
Retain journal entries, adjustments and review records with their dates and preparers. Distinguish a proposed correction from one posted. Do not make a retrospective record appear contemporaneous.
Connect labels to evidence
An expense category or memo field does not independently verify the transaction’s purpose. Index approvals, invoices and statements where available. Accounting and legal specialists assess significance; SAG organizes the source map.
Define the review questions
Flag unexplained differences, duplicates and incomplete periods. Keep the original and review schedules separate. The preparation narrative should reflect unresolved issues rather than treating an unreviewed spreadsheet as a final calculation.

Sources and professional scope
Official starting points: United States Sentencing Commission economic-offense guidelines. Counsel evaluates current authorities, the applicable guideline version and the individual facts. These resources do not decide the outcome of a particular case. Sources checked November 6, 2026.
SAG provides defined personal and professional preparation: a chronology, source index, factual review questions and practical calendar as agreed. Counsel controls legal advice, responses and submissions. SAG is not a law firm, forensic accounting provider or compliance certifier. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.
Based in New Jersey, SAG serves clients nationwide, with travel arranged for cases. No charging decision, sentence, financial result, placement or release date is guaranteed.
