Name each figure

Identify what a total measures, its period, source and preparer. Account movement, claimed loss and a proposed obligation are different measures. Counsel determines the governing legal calculation rather than a narrative assuming that the largest visible total controls.

Preserve the calculation trail

Keep inputs, schedules, assumptions and revisions. Identify duplicates, reversals and missing records without changing the original source. Qualified financial professionals assess reconciliation and tracing questions.

Record recoveries separately

Document actual returns, payments and recognized credits with dates and supporting records. Their legal treatment may depend on facts and governing rules. Do not assume that every payment automatically reduces every calculation.

Prepare questions before deadlines

Flag disputed periods and unresolved assumptions early for counsel. SAG can organize the evidence and review calendar. The work does not guarantee a lower guideline range, restitution amount or sentence.

Sources and professional scope

Official starting points: United States Sentencing Commission economic-offense guidelines. Counsel evaluates current authorities, the applicable guideline version and the individual facts. These resources do not decide the outcome of a particular case. Sources checked November 6, 2026.

SAG provides defined personal and professional preparation: a chronology, source index, factual review questions and practical calendar as agreed. Counsel controls legal advice, responses and submissions. SAG is not a law firm, forensic accounting provider or compliance certifier. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.

Based in New Jersey, SAG serves clients nationwide, with travel arranged for cases. No charging decision, sentence, financial result, placement or release date is guaranteed.
