Preserve scope and timing
Keep the request, supporting material and approval in their original context. Identify limits, conditions and dates. An approval for one purpose should not silently become authorization for a different amount, recipient or period.
Identify actual participation
Record the preparer, reviewer and decision maker where evidence supports attribution. Separate delegated authority from completed action. Shared systems may require technical review; do not assume an account name resolves every attribution question.
Retain exceptions and concerns
Preserve documented questions, refusals and changes. Identify whether an issue remained unresolved. Silence or missing records should not automatically be described as consent or opposition.
Prepare factual questions
SAG can organize a decision chronology and source index. Counsel determines whether an approval has legal significance and how it relates to the allegations. The preparation file should preserve competing evidence rather than selecting only favorable documents.

Sources and professional scope
Official starting points: United States Sentencing Commission economic-offense guidelines. Counsel evaluates current authorities, the applicable guideline version and the individual facts. These resources do not decide the outcome of a particular case. Sources checked November 6, 2026.
SAG provides defined personal and professional preparation: a chronology, source index, factual review questions and practical calendar as agreed. Counsel controls legal advice, responses and submissions. SAG is not a law firm, forensic accounting provider or compliance certifier. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.
Based in New Jersey, SAG serves clients nationwide, with travel arranged for cases. No charging decision, sentence, financial result, placement or release date is guaranteed.
