Communications in Embezzlement Matters

Identify source and context
Record participants, dates, platform and attachments. Preserve the full available exchange as counsel directs. A forwarded excerpt or screenshot should be identified accurately rather than presented as the complete conversation.
Connect words to events carefully
A request and a completed transfer are separate events. Identify supporting records before linking them. Keep timing inconsistencies visible and avoid using a later message as proof of earlier knowledge without a basis.
Separate recollection and quotation
Retain original language and label later interpretation. Ambiguous shorthand may need clarification. Counsel evaluates meaning; SAG organizes factual references rather than supplying an opinion about intent.
Keep preservation independent
Do not alter messages or contact others to coordinate accounts. Counsel directs appropriate communications and collection. A chronology should make uncertainty explicit and retain source references for meaningful review.

Sources and professional scope
Official starting points: United States Sentencing Commission economic-offense guidelines. Counsel evaluates current authorities, the applicable guideline version and the individual facts. These resources do not decide the outcome of a particular case. Sources checked November 6, 2026.
SAG provides defined personal and professional preparation: a chronology, source index, factual review questions and practical calendar as agreed. Counsel controls legal advice, responses and submissions. SAG is not a law firm, forensic accounting provider or compliance certifier. An engagement does not automatically establish privilege.
Based in New Jersey, SAG serves clients nationwide, with travel arranged for cases. No charging decision, sentence, financial result, placement or release date is guaranteed.
For counsel: Discuss Support for Your Client. Begin with the role, stage and deadline, not privileged advice or credentials, in the inquiry form.
